It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...
2022 was the year I had been aiming for in my practice for years. Here are just a couple of the highlights:
I got to co-lead over 200 nurse coaches at our first Nurse Coach Conference in Sedona, AZ.
I partnered with a local non-profit and lead over 50 moms of special needs kids through my 8-week self-care group coaching program.
I refined my coaching framework, coached women 1:1 and in small groups, and did tons of bodywork sessions.
I reached 6 figures in my business- something I never even really thought was possible. I had been bootstrapping my way through growing my women's holistic health practice for years so this was a big milestone for my growth- personally and professionally.
It was also the year my marriage completely imploded, revealing many deeply painful truths and setting me on a very unexpected and unwanted journey into a difficult divorce and navigating single motherhood while healing from betrayal trauma.
F*CK.
Why am I telling you this?
Well, two reasons actually.
One, whatever you're going through, keep going. It will not always be like this. It will shift and change, and you can always, always learn and grow if you choose to.
And two, you can't rush your healing (oh did I try), but you can bring in the support and guidance to navigate it well.
I'm so glad I took my own advice to not go it alone. I'm deeply grateful to that version of myself who was navigating so much trauma, shock and horror for investing in my healing with therapy, coaching, breathwork, energywork, sound healing, good food, and surrounding myself with good people.
As I'm re-launching my women's group coaching space this month, I'm revisiting systems and resources that I created in 2022. It's really true that as we expand and grow, the things that need to fall away, do. But the things that remain that are aligned and true, also do.
The principles and practices I've been using for healing are solid, my friends. They help us build a sturdy foundation of health and well-being to navigate any circumstance. I can back my process and beliefs with my own lived experience now and that feels damn good.
